The Milingimbi Bäpurru Artist Memorial print project was conceived in 2018, following the sudden death of an important artist, director and art worker at MACAC.

Each print depicts places and songs closely associated with clans that are represented in our art centre. We have aspired to include all of the clans that belong to the artists that have worked, and contributed to Milingimbi’s rich artistic heritage.

The original copper etchings from which the prints where made are now mounted on the external wall of the mud brick building that houses our art centre, and is used as a teaching tool when school children visit the centre.
