Description
An-gujechiya are aesthetic objects, functional fish traps and dreaming totems.
Jennifer Dikarr’s mothers, Bonny Burangarra, Freda Wyartja and Lily Roy s are master weavers of an-gujechiya. Dikarr has watched many an-gujechiya being made. This is the first an-gujechiya that she has made on her own.
Dikarr has made this piece from the new shoots of guḻwirri (sand palm).
An-gujechiya belong to the Dhuwa moiety.
